Technical Risk Review in an Interurban Railway Project

A major international insurance group entrusted Ineria Management with carrying out a risk assessment in railway infrastructures linked to an ambitious interurban project. The objective: to identify potential risks associated with civil liability and third-party damages, and to provide a solid technical basis to support strategic decision-making.

Scope of service: Risk assessment in critical systems

The client’s main objective was to have a specialized technical assessment that could serve as a basis to properly evaluate the insurable risks of the project before issuing any coverage.

Specifically, an independent technical analysis (Desktop Project Review) was required for various critical facilities that made up the railway project, including:

  • Signaling and communication systems

  • Control center facilities

  • Electromechanical systems of the tunnel and the viaduct

  • Track installation and welding

  • Power and traction systems

  • Two 25 kV traction substations (excluding buildings and roads)

  • Technical buildings and their associated facilities
