Today, October 10, is Mental Health Day,<\/strong> with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of mental health and promoting awareness around the world.
\nIn this context, we would like to take this opportunity to explore the WELL certification<\/strong><\/a>a building assessment tool that, through the implementation of different strategies, has as its main objective the well-being and health of the occupants. <\/p>\n

According to WHO, health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

How does the WELL Certificate contribute to mental health?<\/h2>\n

WELL certification focuses on 10 key categories, each of which includes a series of measures.
\nSome of these measures are mandatory and others are optional in order to obtain the certificate.
\nAmong the categories that WELL evaluates is the “MIND” <\/strong>concept , <\/strong>which aims to improve the cognitive and emotional health and well-being of those who live, work, learn and spend time in built spaces. <\/p>\n

We spend more than 90% of our time<\/strong> indoors<\/strong>, so the spaces in which we live, work and relax greatly impact our health, well-being and productivity.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The built environment serves as a tool to help mitigate adverse mental health outcomes through policy, programs, and design.  <\/p>\n
